Lélia Wanick Salgado is an architect, photographer and passionate defender of nature. In partnership with Sebastião Salgado, Lélia has been a driving force behind books and exhibitions that explore environmental and cultural issues in depth.
Lélia co-founded Instituto Terra, an NGO committed to reforestation, conservation and environmental education, having planted almost 3 million trees. Her tireless work as an environmentalist was recognized with the Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity in 2023.
