A renowned French philosopher and sociologist, he is knight of the Légion d’Honneur and member of the Conseil d’Analyse de la Société, advisory body to the French Prime Minister. Gilles Lipovetsky is the author of a vast oeuvre on the transformations in values, ways of life and behaviour in contemporary society. His books have been translated into over 20 languages. His work published in Portugal includes A Sagração da Autenticidade (2022), A Era do Vazio (nova edição em 2013); O Império do Efémero (2010); Os Tempos Hipermodernos (2011) and A Terceira Mulher (2000).
