José Rodrigues dos Santos was born in 1964 in Mozambique. He’s got a doctorate in Communication Sciences, he is a journalist for RTP. He has worked at the Macao Radio and at BBC, and a permanent collaborator at CNN. As a novelist he has won the Bertrand Fiction Prize; the Literary Club Prize of Porto, the Portal of Literature Prize and the Prix Littéraire e la Lusophonie. This is his twenty-fifth novel.
