Karina Sainz Borgo was born in Caracas in 1982, just as everything was about to catch fire. She studied journalism in Spain, where she currently resides, and works as a journalist specializing in cultural topics. Her books have been published in various languages and much of her work is dedicated to her home country. Her novel Cai a Noite em Caracas [It Would Be Night in Caracas] has been published in Portugal.
